I just wanted to thank everyone for following my blog.  I hope everyone has enjoyed my content, and enjoyed following it.  It is about a week until graduation and I wish my fellow graduating classmates the best of luck!  I wish everyone good luck with their finals and to have a great summer.  Who knows I could end up posting frequently once the winter season comes around again, and we have some snow on the ground.  Thanks again for following!

With temperatures rising today to about 90 degrees, I felt like going to Loon just to make snow angels.  How much snow do you think is left?

Great Ski Weekend

Conditions at Loon are awesome for what they have.  This weekend is packed full of events.  Yesterdays Street Cred contest went awesome.  Congratulations to Mike Ravelson for taking home the gold, and great job to all the riders that  came out.  Today at Loon is 80's day, grap some retro gear and head for the hills!
Come check out Loons site, if you want anymore information.

Snow Blowing!

With rising temps. and an overall weak winter, the snow supply on Loon Mountain is depleting.  There were a ton of bare spots on the trails down to the dirt.  Luckily Loon will be blowing snow until about the 8th of April.  They will try and keep the mountain open as long as they can, so that season pass holders can still enjoy their passes, and the Spring Skiing!

Spring Break In Colorado!

So for my recent spring break, me and some buddies took a trip out to Colorado and the Rockies to do some skiing on the West.  With the light snow season you could tell that some mountains were struggling.  Luckily we got a few inches before we rode each day.  We couldn't have asked for a better time for this part of the year.  I am going to post some pictures shortly of our trip.  Hope everyone enjoys!

Is Spring Around The Corner?

In the past week, Loon has had some awesome weather.  To bad its not the weather the mountain and riders want.  With temps soaring up to the 80's a lot of riders and friends were at the mountain with sunglasses, t-shirts, and shorts.  Not your typical mountain gear.  With these rising temps the conditions haven't been the best.  There are a lot of bare spots down to the dirt, and the snow is like very slushy.  Temps are returning back around the 40's for this upcoming week, but Spring looks like its dying to come around so who knows how much longer the mountain will be open.

Mashed Potatoes?

Today was another wonderful day on the hill.  There wasn't a line in site at Loon.  With the sun shinning and temperatures being around 65 degrees, it was a great day of early spring skiing.  The snow was so soft, and you were still surprisingly able to get a lot of speed.  It did feel slushy or like mashed potatoes in some spots.  Falling wasn't and issue today, nothing hurt if you messed up on something.  Hope some of the snow will hold up and we can enjoy spring skiing for another good month.

Time For Spring Skiing Already?

Over the past couple of days the weather has been very warm.  The snow was so soft at Loon Wednesday and Thursday.  With the season winding down, it doesn't look like much more snow will be coming our way unless a couple of flurries.  Thursday afternoon we were in nothing but t-shirts and shades and enjoying the sun.  Hopefully we can have one more big storm before all of the snow melts away.

New Snow

With no classes on Tuesday due to the snow, campus cleared out and everyone rush to the mountain.  One of the best days of riding all year.  Back country was awesome and tried black mountain for the first time.  Insane!  Looks like some warm weather to ride in today.

The End Of Massachusetts Break, The Start Of New Hampshires

This past week Loon Mountain has been extremely packed.  Way more than us college kids are use to, being spoiled having usually no lines when we go.  Even though Massachusetts break was this past week lines weren't horrible compared to past years.  Probably due to the lack of now this bizarre winter.  Friday night seemed to put a smile on most faces around campus though.  With nightfall, the Plymouth and Loon area got hit with a good 5+ inches, leaving Saturday a beautiful day for riding.  The snow was perfect, perfectly groomed and conditions were some of the best they have been all year.  The only downfall this was the busiest day the past week.  Huge lines and riders all over trails.  Overall a great day and hope we can fit a couple more snow fallings in before winter is totally over.  We all hope this next week isn't as packed with it being New Hampshires break.

About My Blog

So for my Blog I decided to base it on snowboarding, and Loon mountain.  I will give weather and snow updates regularly. (if we ever get any)  Me and friends ride Loon Mountain all the time because of our season passes and how close it is, so I will be giving updates about the mountain too.
